Cosmopolitan Cocktail

by Rachel on June 18, 2013

I just love me a simple, straightforward Cosmopolitan. For some reason I previously thought they were more complicated or more mysterious to make than they are. A rock solid Cosmopolitan requires that you have five (count ‘em FIVE) things: 1. Good quality vodka, 2. Cointreau, 3. Cranberry Juice Cocktail, 4. Ice and 5. Enough arm strength to shake a drink shaker. I’m betting you can muster those five things. I know I can. Making Cosmopolitans at home has a lot of advantages. You don’t need a designated driver, and even with the best vodka on the planet, the price of making them at home is about 10% of what you pay at a bar – plus, I don’t actually like bars.

Rachel’s favorite Cosmopolitan (makes one damn good drink)

  • 2 oz. Vodka
  • ½ oz. Cointreau
  • 2 oz. of cranberry juice cocktail

Shake the vodka, Cointreau and cranberry juice cocktail in a drink shaker filled with ice. Pour into a martini glass. Consume.
